Chandler, AZ – September 9, 2022: AEM Precision Cable Test is a Platinum Sponsor at the BICSI Fall Conference 2022 in Las Vegas, September 25 – 29, 2022. Visitors can visit Booth #624 to learn more about the only solution provider who has developed purpose-built field test equipment to support a wide range of smart building technologies pervasive to today’s modern network infrastructures. These test solutions provide not only copper and fiber certification of the underlying infrastructure cabling, but extend to testing various types of powering technologies, assurance of required link speeds, as well as network connectivity and operational details for both the wired and wireless network infrastructure.
AEM is hosting Sinclair Digital at booth #624, together we are demonstrating both design and testing of smart building networks. Sinclair Digital marries Digital Electricity with PoE to introduce the safest, most energy-efficient, and lowest embodied carbon addressable LED lighting system for data center and automated warehouses.
“As members of the ICT community come together at the upcoming BICSI Fall Conference, we are excited to have the opportunity to discuss the network infrastructure testing methodologies needed to assure infrastructure readiness for smart building technologies at our speaking sessions and at our booth,” said Lisa Schwartz, Dir. Business Development and Product Marketing. “We’re pleased to partner with other innovative companies to offer smart building technologies, that drive better ways to support increasing demands on network infrastructure resources and powering technologies, in a sustainable way.”
This masterclass continues a partnership among Superior Essex, AEM and MHT. The three companies presented a seminar series together in the Middle East and North Africa earlier this year, tackling tough challenges in the ICT community in that region. The companies are honored to have VoltServer, the inventors of Digital Electricity™, join them to present this masterclass to the BICSI audience, and represented in the AEM booth.
AEM’s Speaking Sessions:
Masterclass on Sustainable Technology Innovations and Solutions for Smart Buildings
Monday, September 26th 1 pm – 4 pm at the 2022 BICSI Fall Conference in Las Vegas
- Paul Weintraub, Head of International Business, Superior Essex Communications
- Annie Bevan, Head of Global Sustainability, Superior Essex Communications
- Luke Getto, Director of Product Management and Marketing, VoltServer
- Steve Cowles, Manager of Product and Customer Care, AEM Test and Measurement
- Akram “AK” Khalis, Chief Technology Officer, MHT Lighting
The masterclass will discuss the latest trends in smart buildings, the drivers behind the need for sustainability in technology and the latest sustainable technology innovations and solutions that accomplish both. Representatives from each collaborating company will share their experiences with smart building technologies as innovators within the ICT industry. The masterclass provides three BICSI continuing education credits.
Single-Pair Ethernet Roadmap: Products, Testing, Standards and Use Cases
Tuesday, September 27th 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm at the 2022 BICSI Fall Conference in Las Vegas
- Bob Voss – Panduit Corporation – Tinley Park, Illinois, USA
- Todd Harpel, RCDD – Berk-Tek, a Leviton Company – New Holland, Pennsylvania, USA
- Steve Cowles, RCDD, NTS – AEM – St. Cloud, Florida, USA
This presentation examines how SPE helps Smart Buildings achieve the next level of performance in terms of edge-to-cloud connectivity, delivering power to devices, lowering maintenance, improving security, and providing a migration path. To achieve the goals for smart buildings, migrating to an IP-based, Ethernet network is essential. To maximize the benefits of smart infrastructure, all systems must communicate on a common network, able to transmit data from a variety of devices all the way to the
cloud. Ethernet has long been ubiquitous in IT networks and Single Pair Ethernet offers the mechanism to extend the same features and performance to OT networks and edge applications, drawing on a stable, well-developed ecosystem with a full security suite, that’s easier to maintain than a host of different legacy networks, easier to upgrade to higher speeds and allows data collected from edge devices to be captured and used in real-time.
