TestPro Cable Certifier, Network Service Assistant Qualification+ Tester, and TestDataPro Results Management Software Add New Test Function Delighting End Users by Supporting Their Requested Feature Enhancements

Tempe, Arizona, 18 March 2024 – AEM, a global leader in test and handling solutions, today announced enhancements to its TestPro Cable Certifier, Network Service Assistant (NSA) Qualification+ Tester, and TestDataPro Results Management software, all driven by direct feedback from end users.

Both the TestPro and NSA now feature a Return Loss Locator with an added Event Table and Event Map, mirroring the familiar functionality of the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) test function. This enhancement enables users to visualize cabling and connector faults, streamlining troubleshooting and remediation processes. Additionally, AEM has expanded its fiber optic testing capabilities with the introduction of Single Fiber test functionality, alongside Singlemode and Multimode OTDR test adapters. This update allows users to save Optical Loss measurements on a single fiber using a TestPro Main and Remote setup, enhancing flexibility and efficiency in fiber testing.  The tier 1 fiber autotest is now faster with dual-ended test taking only about 3 seconds.  Application specific test limits are introduced for fiber tests, making it possible to test fiber installation against intended communications standard (e.g. 10GBASE-SR1). The OTDR testing is also enhanced, and it now supports ‘live’ mode, allowing users to troubleshoot fiber installation issues ‘on the fly’.

The TestDataPro results management software has undergone significant updates, including an enriched user interface, expanded Recertification functionality, and analytics tool. Notably, TestDataPro now offers extensive copper recertification capabilities, enabling users to recertify cables tested to incorrect limits without the need for retesting, thereby saving time and costs. TestDataPro is the only tool in the market that allows recertification to higher performance standards (e.g. recertification to CAT6A for test that was originally done using CAT6 limits). Furthermore, the software now incorporates analytics functionality, empowering users to analyze test results graphically, identify trends, and pinpoint anomalous results across various parameters such as NEXT, IL, RL for copper, or optical loss test margins.

Enhancements to TestDataPro also include improved Company Information tools, allowing users to personalize PDF test reports with their logo and contact information. Moreover, TestDataPro PC Software will now be available for download not only from the AEM website but also from the Microsoft Store.
